Christmas is a time to treat ourselves, but with the cost of living spiralling, there will likely be some cutbacks. Nevertheless, you can have a super special Christmas. Of course, you need to be clever in what you choose to put on the table. A humble Christmas with your favourite people and food will be just as special as a Christmas full of excess.

Our flagship collection by the award-winning, family-run Château de Parenchère is fabulous, of higher quality and won’t cost you the earth.
The estate dates back to 1570 and has a long and well-established history in viticulture. It is located on the eastern edge of the Bordeaux wine-growing area, near the village of Sainte-Foy-La-Grande.
Their choice of grapes for their fantastic blends is not dictated by trends but rather by what gives the best results on each terroir. So you can expect expertly blended Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Sauvignon, Sémillon and Muscadelle.
Château de Parenchère also adopts a sustainable approach to vine-growing. Their estate is conducted in ‘Agriculture Raisonnée’ (Reasoned Farming) and has received the High Environmental Value farm, Level 3 certification. The highest possible level to achieve! Beyond these certifications, Parenchère is entering organic conversion and no longer uses weedkillers.
Not only do you get delicious wines, but they are also sustainable and make less of an impact on the environment.

For Red Wine Lovers
L’Équilibriste Bordeaux Rouge – Easy-drinker/All-rounder/Sulphite-free
L’Équilibriste Bordeaux Rouge boasts the classic structure of Bordeaux wines with great aromas. It is a beautiful deep purple-red colour with intense nuances of blackcurrant, blackberry, and blueberry and notes of peony, and violet on the nose.
On the palate, it is round, with crunchy and juicy fruit. Mineral and floral flavours continue on a subtle and silky tannic framework.
L’Équilibriste Bordeaux Rouge is made without the addition of sulphites. A ‘tour de force’, they have produced an exceptional wine that critics and the public applaud.
This wine is ideal with roasted vegetables, grilled shellfish, Pâté en Croûte or other cold meats or charcuterie, which makes it ideal for the Christmas Day feast.
Cuvée Raphaël Bordeaux Supérieur – Elegant tannins/Smooth finish/Woody
The flagship wine of Chateau de Parenchère, the Cuvée Raphaël, is a dense, concentrated wine with elegant tannins and a mellow and smooth finish. The wine is elegantly woody but not excessively to leave plenty of room for the fruit.
Cuvée Raphaël is produced from a selection of the most exemplary estate plots from vines that are more than 40 years old.
This wine is aged exclusively in barrels made of oak from the Forest of Tronçais. Cuvée Raphaël is aged for 12 months on fine lees without racking or exposure to air. Parenchère uses the ‘micro-oxygenation’ technique, sending fine bubbles through the barrels. As a result, the wine’s fruit and elegance are perfectly preserved.
The Cuvée Raphaël Bordeaux Supérieur is ideal with game, charcuterie and soft cheese, so perfect for a supper of delicious cheeses, fruit and nuts.
For White & Rose Wine Fans
Bordeaux Blanc-Sec – Citrus/Bright/Roundness
Bordeaux Blanc-Sec is a white wine with intense white and citrus fruit aromas. It is fresh and round on the palate, and the blend is a bright and aromatic dry white wine with roundness. Château de Parenchère enjoys a perfect terroir of white wines thanks to the presence of limestone in the soil.
The Bordeaux Blanc-Sec is ideal with fish and seafood and delicious to enjoy all on its own. We love it with a seafood starter or as an aperitif.
La Roseraie Bordeaux Rosé – Fresh/Floral/Delicate
La Roseraie Bordeaux Rosé is light and subtle and offers excellent freshness. The rose petal-coloured wine offers floral aromas of hawthorn, lychee and rose.
The La Roseraie Bordeaux Rosé, produced from direct pressing, was created to obtain the most refined and delicate wine possible.
La Roseraie Bordeaux Rosé is ideal with creamy dishes, cheese, smoked salmon, and desserts with strawberries. We love this rosé with fresh and fruity, and creamy puddings.
